Jack London Logo London's Study Before Restoration
line

Not knowing if or when he would be able to rebuild Wolf House, Jack added this study to the cottage in 1913 from an advance of $2,000 from Cosmopolitan Magazine to provide more space for his collection of books, and to enlarge his writing area. Here he sat and wrote his stories and novels, rising at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning and writing a thousand words a day.
