Relocation of the Jack London Research Center

NEWS RELEASE

Glen Ellen, CA. — Nov. 2004 The Board of Directors announces the relocation of the Jack London Research Center to a vintage cottage on the Benziger Family Winery on London Ranch Road in Glen Ellen, California. The collection of material is primarily secondary copies but is unique in the extensive subject matter that is connected to the life of Jack London. This collection began through the dedication of Russ Kingman, the founder of the Foundation in 1976 and has continued to be directed by Winnie Kingman and the Foundation Board of Directors. It consists of documents, reports, notes, letters and a wide variety of articles. There is a complete reference library of London's books and important biographies by noted authors and other related subjects. There are reprints of photographs that pertain to Jack's ranch, travels and friends. It is the goal of the Foundation to continue adding essays, documents and photographs to this research collection for researchers to use for years to come.

You may utilize this facility by arranging for an appointment. You will be sent a Research Request form to complete and begin the process. You may also submit your research questions by telephone or in writing or by e-mail, and a Research Request form will be sent to you for completion. A member from the Board of Directors will do the research and reply within three weeks.

Your continued support is needed in this worthwhile endeavor of furthering the Foundation's existing programs and goals of, Following the Call through Reading, Writing and Research.
